Mama Ida Odinga has congratulated her daughter Winnie Odinga after she took an oath of office for the regional assembly post in Arusha, Tanzania.
She wished Winnie the very best as she starts off her duties as East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) MP.
“May the future be great for you Chogo (last born),” she said.
Through her official Twitter handle, Mama Ida quoted Bruce Barton, saying – “A daughter is the happy memories of the past, the joyful moments of the present, and the hope and promise of the future.”
Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga had earlier on Monday also congratulated the nine MPS who are representing Kenya at the regional assembly.
“Congratulations to the whole Kenyan EALA team and to you Chogo (my lastborn). Hongera,” he said.
The EALA members include Hassan Omar, Iman Falhada, Kennedy Musyoka, Kanini Kega, Zipporah Kering, Godfrey Mwangi, Winnie Odinga, David Sankok and Suleiman Shahbal.
