Governor Orengo lauds DCI on Wells Fargo boss murder investigation! The body of the slain Wells Fargo Human Resource Director Willis Ayieko is currently undergoing an autopsy process at the Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi.

The family of the deceased was accompanied by Siaya County Governor James Orengo and Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi.

The autopsy expected to help unravel the circumstances under which Ayieko met his death is supposed to be undertaken by the Government pathologist Johansen Oduor together with the family’s pathologist.

Orengo however refused to comment in detail on the ongoing investigations but showed his contentment with the effort by security agencies.

“The family, Atandi, and I have engaged the police and so far the investigations are ongoing. We can confidently say that the work being done by the DCI and police generally is encouraging,” Orengo said.

He added: “We are hoping that at the end of this, the widow, the family and we people from Siaya will find justice after the conclusion of the investigations and those responsible are made to account in a court of law.”

Orengo described the deceased as an innocent, friendly, and peaceful person, terming his death as a blow to the family and Siaya County in general.

A suspect linked to the gruesome murder of Ayieko was arrested on Monday from his hideout in Nairobi’s Dandora Phase 4 and is currently being held at the Muthaiga Police Station.

This is after the suspect was placed at the scene of the crime through forensic analysis, in the forensic-led investigation being conducted by a joint team of DCI’s Homicide, CRIB and Operations detectives.

“Initially we were looking for Willis when he disappeared then it turned out to be murder and since then I can say that the cooperation has been very good,” Atandi said.

”The police have been helpful, they have gone out of their way to help us find justice. So far so good, we have been impressed with the effort that has been put and we want to urge them to continue until we really get to the root as to why our brother was killed,” MP Atandi said.

The body of Ayieko was discovered seven days ago in the Mungowere stream in Yala, Siaya County on October 23 at 2 pm, with eyes gouged out and ears chopped off.

The family did not comment on the matter.
