Vice chairman of the Parliamentary Accounts Committee (PAC) Nicholas Tindi Mwale has praised the appointment of John Mbadi as Treasury CS saying the former ODM chairman has the capacity to guide economic recovery in the country.

Mbadi has been PAC chairman with Mwale serving as vice.

Mwale who is also MP for Butere said he had worked with Mbadi closely and knows the new CS as being very passionate about streamlining Kenya’s economy.

The Butere MP, on behalf of PAC, wrote to President William Ruto appreciating the appointment of Mbadi to the Treasury.

“Please accept my heartfelt appreciation, on behalf of the committee I co-chaired with your newly appointed Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury, Hon. CPA John O. Mbadi. We are deeply grateful for your trust and confidence in selecting him for this prestigious role,” said Mwale.

He said the committee would work well with the treasury CS.

“The committee is a reservoir of versatile and capable members, possessing the necessary expertise and insight that can be instrumental as you continue on your path toward Kenya’s economic transformation”, said Mwale.

The MP said the PAC had greatly benefitted from Mbadi’s leadership and his commitment to the nation’s progress.

Mwale has asked Kenyans to have confidence in the new CS whom he also described as a focused and experienced expert in finance issues.

Mbadi was sworn in along with other CSs on Thursday and he took over from outgoing CS Njuguna Ndungu who lost his job in the recent cabinet changes.

In Eldoret, a group of residents led by Benjamin Leting said they were happy with the new cabinet urging those appointed to serve Kenyans with dedication.

“We have confidence in CSs like Mbadi and Murkomen among others but we ask them to be more dedicated and put the plight of Kenyans first”, said alerting.
