Popular TV series The Real Househelps of Kawangware is back after a two-year break.
Speaking to the publication, actress Njambi said the break made her realize that the acting industry is tough.
“I have unsuccessfully been looking for acting gigs. But am grateful for the shows I got,” she said.
“I’ve also learnt that being rejected is okay. I used to hate going to auditions because I am afraid of rejection and how I used to feel after auditions.”
Njambi said before she would feel she was not good at her craft after being rejected.
“This industry needs a whole lot [of] patience and resilience and patience,” she said.
The Real Househelps of Kawangware follows the lives of domestic workers and their friends as they navigate the ups and downs of life in Kawangware.
It ended abruptly, leaving fans with so many unanswered questions.
Other cast members have also been speaking about their return to the screen.
“New casts will be there but one thing am so happy about is that my favourite character Turu is coming back,” Njambi said.
Awiti also expressed her joy in going back to what she does best.
Awiti is portrayed as a harsh personality who always bulldozes everyone around her.
Shiphira said she had a good time hanging out with other cast members.
