Gauteng: Man critically injured after being shot in robbery

Gauteng: At 12h55 Thursday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting at a liquor store on Drift Boulevard in Muldersdrift.

Reports indicate that a 55-year-old male had been shot in the chest. Medics assessed the scene and found the patient in a critical condition and was treated on scene by emergency care practitioners.

Due to the nature of the man’s injuries, Emer-G-Med advanced life support paramedics activated a Netcare 911 helicopter ambulance to fly the patient to a specialist medical facility.

Circumstances leading up to the incident will be investigated by the relevant authorities who were on the scene.
