There have been 17,154 new COVID-19 cases that have been reported in South Africa in the last 24 hours.
Gauteng still leads the surge with over 8,000 cases.
It is followed by KZN with over 2,500 and the Western Cape with over 1,500.
The positivity rate now stands at 16.4-percent.
36 more people have died, taking the death toll to 90,116.
