More needs to be done to protect whistleblowers – Minister Ronald Lamola

Justice Minister Ronald Lamola says government and his department need to do more work and come up with better legislative protection for whistleblowers.

Babita Deokaran, a witness in the Special Investigating Unit’s probe into Gauteng PPE corruption, was gunned down.

Many other whistleblowers, like some of those who have testified at the state capture inquiry, have received death threats.
