At 18H47 Friday night, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the Old Saint Faith’s Road in Umtentweni. Reports from the scene indicate that an SUV and a mini-bus taxi were involved in a collision.
Medics assessed the scene and found that the taxi driver and two occupants of the SUV had sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased on the scene.
Multiple other people sustained injuries ranging from minor to serious and were treated on the scene.
Once stabilised all the patients were transported by various ambulance services to hospital for further treatment. All necessary authorities were on the scene.
