Kenya has potential to become global tech powerhouse, says Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua

Kenya has a huge potential to become a huge technological powerhouse, Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has said.

The DP on Monday hosted a delegation from the International Association of Science Parks and Innovation (IASP) at his office.

The meeting was held ahead of the IASP world conference which will be held at Konza Technopolis on Tuesday.

The delegation was led by the IASP president Lena Miranda, and Ebba Lund, IASP CEO.

The main aim of the World Conference is to explore digital opportunities.

“We are excited by the huge technology opportunities this conference, brings to our nation and unwavering commitment to unlocking digital opportunities for Kenya,” Gachagua stated.

The Deputy President in his tweet said that Kenya is endowed with huge potential to become a global technology powerhouse.

In attendance at the delegation was the Public Secretary of ICT and Digital Economy, John Tanui, and Konza Technopolis CEO John Paul Okwiri.
