Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Friday visited Wakulima Market (Marikiti) and Muthurwa Market in Nairobi County, connecting with small-scale traders in an engaging walkabout.
Gachagua took the time to interact with vendors and listening to their concerns.
He emphasized the Kenya Kwanza Administration’s commitment to fostering a thriving business community, which he said is essential for driving a vibrant economy.
“Improving the working environment, especially for small-scale traders in Nairobi and our other major towns, requires structured consultations with them for informed and inclusive decisions,” Gachagua stated.
He was accompanied by several leaders, including Starehe MP Amos Mwago, Embakasi North MP James Gakuya, Embakasi Central MP Benjamin Gathiru Mejja Donk, Kiambu Senator Karungo Thang’wa, and some Nairobi MCAs.
