Police have arrested four more suspects linked to the arson incident where CDF offices were looted and torched in Kikuyu Constituency during the Finance Bill protests.
Police said several recoveries were made from their houses.
One of the suspects, police said, is a driver at a primary school in the area and a 32″ TV set was recovered from his house.
He led the officers to his accomplice who was also in possession of another 32″ Sony TV belonging to the CDF offices.
According to police, a 16-year-old form three boy was also among those arrested, after he was captured on a CCTV footage disappearing with a Bluetooth speaker.
In the Rironi area of Limuru, a 23 year man, was also arrested after he was allegedly seen stealing several equipment.
“He later sold to unsuspecting buyers in Kitengela.”
The suspects pend arraignment at the Kiambu Law Court.
On July 3, two people were charged with burning of Kikuyu NG-CDF office during the Finance Bill protests.
Naftaly Njama and Joseph Waweru appeared before senior principal magistrate Peter Ooko and denied charges.
The charge sheet read that on June 25, 2024, with others not before the court, willfully and unlawfully set fire to Kikuyu National Government Constituency Development Fund offices, valued at Sh20 million.
The two denied another charge that on June 25, they destroyed by setting on fire a motor vehicle, the property of Kikuyu NG-CDF worth Sh2.5 million.
They also denied another charge that on the same day they damaged the office of the deputy county commissioner by breaking windows and perimeter fence valued at Sh600,000.
