Narc Leader Martha Karua has urged President William Ruto to settle flood victims in affordable housing.
Speaking during Limuru III conference, Karua said the victims should be given the houses for free.
“Sort the flood victims to have somewhere to live before you give them the affordable houses. All counties have affordable houses, so they should get them for free,” she said.
Karua said the Mt Kenya region should be united so that their voices can be heard.
“The government is there to protect the rights of the people. Don’t be betrayers of the Mt Kenya people let’s stand together.”
On foreign travels, Karua said leaders should reduce the number of times they take trips.
“Reduce the travel. You are spending a lot on travel and the salaries are pending. We refuse to be oppressed.”
Karua said they will move from county to county to hold the conference so that people can be united and speak in one language.
Karua also said they will continue to push for one man one vote one shilling.
“Our voice is diluted. We want money to be distributed equally in constituencies. We reject any formula the not promote population as a form of distribution of funds.”
