Key political figures who were nominated by President William Ruto as Chief Administrative Secretaries before the courts overturned the move have landed ambassadorial jobs.
Among those picked by Ruto on Friday include former retired Kisii deputy governor Joash Maangi who has been posted as Kenya’s ambassador to Kampala, Uganda.
Maangi had been tipped to serve as CAS in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs before the courts annulled the nominations as being unconstitutional.
Former West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi has also been picked as Kenya’s ambassador to Accra, Ghana while ex-Kisumu Senator Fred Outa was appointed ambassador to Cairo, Egypt.
Kemosi was initially picked for the CAS post in the Ministry of Trade and Industry while Outa was nominated for the same position to the Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs.
Former Kericho Senator Christopher Langát has been assigned an ambassadorial role in Abidjan, Ivory Coast.
while Petronilla Were has been appointed ambassador to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
