The Government of Kenya has announced 789 vacancies across various ministries and state departments.
In a notice seen by the Star, the Public Service Commission (PSC) said that qualified and interested Kenyans have until March 19, to submit their applications.
“Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the commission’s website or jobs portal, so as to reach the commission on or before March 19, 2024,” the Commission’s CEO said.

The Ministry of Health is seeking to hire a Director General of Health, while the State Department for Health and Professional Standards seeks to recruit 26 senior officials in the positions of Deputy Director General for Health, Director–Health management services, Public Health, and Senior Deputy Directors.
The state department for ASALS and Regional Development is also recruiting a Secretary, Special Programmes.
The State Department for Public Service is hiring Secretaries in Management Consultancy Services, Human Resource Services, and Counselling and Wellness Services.
It also wants 10 Human Resource Information officers II, Human Resource Management and Development officers II (40), Human Resource Management Assistant III (50), Psychological Counsellors (9), Management Analyst II (Organization) (5), Office Administrators II (100) and 300 Assistant Office Administrators III.
The State Department for Livestock Development is also recruiting Veterinary officers (30), Animal Health officers, Zoologists, Laboratory analysts, Leather development officers, Livestock production officers, Lecturers (106), Assistant Animal Health officers III (20), Laboratory Technologists III, Assistant Leather development officers III, Assistant Livestock production officers III, Registered Nurse III and Library Assistant III.
The State Department for Mining is also hiring a Secretary–Mines, Secretary–Geological Survey, Directors in Geological Survey and Research, Mineral Exploration and Evaluation, Environment and Engineering Geology, Licensing, Compliance and Enforcement, and a director Commercial Explosives.
The state department also seeks Senior Principal Superintending Inspector of Explosives officials, Deputy Directors–Artisanal Mining, Quarrying Operations and Value Addition and Mining (Mineral Audit, Mines Health, Safety and Environment.
Assistant Directors, Artisanal Mining, Quarrying Operations and Value Addition, Chief Superintending Inspector of Explosives officers and Senior Principal Laboratory Technologists are also being sought.
