Police are in pursuit of a retired primary school teacher who allegedly s0d0mised an orphaned boy in Karachuonyo, Homa Bay.

The teacher is reported to have been committing the offence at Rachuonyo North subcounty.

It is reported that the teacher has been s0d0mising the seven-year-old boy in his house since last year.

According to the chief Margaret Ager, the teacher has been luring the Grade 3 boy with small goodies like sweets to the indecent act on him.

It was reported that on some occasions the suspect was giving the boy Sh10 to s0d0mise him.

“The boy’s mother reported the matter in my office after realizing that the boy had some pain in his anus. The boy told his mother that he was being s0d0mised him three times,” Ager said.

Speaking to journalists on Thursday, the administrator said the last occasion when the boy was s0d0mised he was given Sh10.

Ager said the boy was taken to the hospital where medical officers confirmed the incident.

“The boy was taken to a health facility where medics confirmed that he had been s0d0mised,” Ager said.

Rachuonyo North subcounty police commander Lydia Parteiyie said her office had received the report on s0d0my.

Parteiyie said the boy had filled out a P3 form.

“I am aware of the incident and the boy was taken to a hospital and filled a P3,” Parteiyie said.

The police boss said they had begun looking for the teacher to ensure he was brought to book.

The retired teacher is reported to have run away after realizing that the matter has been reported to Kendu Bay police station for investigations.

“The suspect ran away after he realized the incident had been reported to us. We are looking for him to ensure legal action is taken against him,” Parteiyie said.

She urged parents to be keen on monitoring the movement of their children to prevent them from people who can destroy their lives.

“Let people be responsible in society to avoid destroying the lives of other people’s children,” Parteiyie added.
