President William Ruto has appointed Mary Wambui Mungai as the new Chairperson of Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) with immediate effect.
Wambui who assumes the position effective December 2, 2022 will replace Gilbert Kibe whose appointed has been revoked barely seven months after he was appointed by former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Kibe who was appointed on May 17, 2022 tendered his resignation Friday in what he said was to pursue personal interests.
Following her appointment, Wambui wlll now serve in the position for a period of three years.
Until her appointment, Wambui was United Democratic Party (UDA) Disputes Resolution Committee Vice-Chairperson.
