KwaZulu-Natal: At 10H40 Saturday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a collision on the M4 between Umhlanga and La Lucia, Durban North.
Reports indicate that a fully laden mini-bus taxi and car were involved in a collision, resulting in both vehicles leaving the road.
On scene were Durban Metropolitan Police Search and Rescue, Durban Metropolitan Police, Durban North SAPS, Marshall Security, ALS Paramedics, Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services and KZN EMS.
Medics found that twelve occupants of the taxi had sustained minor to moderate injuries.
The driver of the car, an adult female had sustained moderate injuries.
The lady was treated on the scene by a Netcare 911 emergency care practitioner while the Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free her from the vehicle.
Once stabilised, all patients were transported to the hospital for further care.
