Deputy President David Mabuza says hands-off Eskom CEO Andre de Ruyter. Mabuza was reacting to numerous calls for De Ruyter to step down over the ongoing power cuts.
He told the National Council of Provinces De Ruyter needs to be commended instead.
Meanwhile, Stage 1 power cuts have been implemented since 5am Friday morning. De Ruyter said on Thursday several units are back online.
