Position Summary: This position is ideal for an experienced .Net Developer with an interest in exploring Site Reliability.

We are looking for a candidate passionate about technology, software best practices, solid communication skills, leadership to encourage growth amongst teammates, confident decision making, and high attention to detail with an emphasis on reusability.

This person will be using their experience to design and build solutions that will drive our business into the future and cutting-edge.

Responsibilities of role:

Implement best practices promoting service availability/reliability and fault tolerance.
Collaborate with Software development teams to ensure best practices are part of the software development design.
Design, implements, and maintain monitoring tools & mechanism to ensure high availability, latency, and overall system health.
Design and implement innovations that improve service reliability, infrastructure resiliency and security, and availability.
Serve as subject matter related to the service operations and second level of escalation for any issues in the Azure cloud data centers.
Meeting and improving Web Availability, & Website Performance, SLO (Service Level Objective).
Troubleshoot and provide in-depth root cause analysis for SLO breaches spanning code, network, database, and system components with objective of prevent further breaches of similar nature.
Develop ways to enforce SLOs earlier in the value stream to prevent issues before they occur.
Perform tasks related to securing and keeping the products, tools, and processes that you are responsible for secure.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
4+ years of development experience.
2+ years of web development using .Net, IIS, SQL Server, JavaScript, Source Control, and a CMS.
Experience in automation & infrastructure as code (preferred).
IT/Sys Admin Experience is a plus.
Strong data analytics skills are a plus; ability to query datasets and identify valuable models.
Experience supporting a high traffic customer facing web application.

Experience with:

CMS, Sitecore is preferred.
Shell or scripting language, Powershell is preferred.
Cloud Providers, Azure is preferred.
Search Platforms (E.g. Solr, Lucene, ElasticSearch), Solr is preferred.
Source Control, git is preferred.
CI/CD tools, Azure DevOps & OctopusDeploy is preferred.
Test Automation tools, Selenium is a plus.
Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
Commitment to best practices relating to Software Engineering, including OO, SDLC, CI/CD, SOLID, and Design Patterns.
Experience working within Scrum team (2 Week Sprints, Daily Standup, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives).
Willingness to think on your feet in a fast paced constantly changing environment.
A Work-Hard, Play-Hard attitude.
Interest in keeping up with trends and best practices.
Effective communication skills, High attention to detail, emphasis on writing, for communication with offshore development team and other departments.
