Elsa Majimbo was her own first fan, started recording her videos — which are hilarious — to pass the time. Eventually her videos went viral with celebrities from all over the world cheering her own.
Her comedy has shot her to the top, getting her interviews with world-renowned journalists like CNN’s Anderson Cooper. In an interview with him, she said, “It’s funny that my comedy has garnered more fans outside my own country.
The comedy scene here is quite different from most of the jokes in Swahili and about tribes, stereotypes. That’s not my comedy, mine is all about what’s happening in the world,” She stated that despite her success, Kenyans don’t find her funny. She currently has a South African flag on her Twitter handle and identifies as a South African.
E! congratulated Majimbo for her win saying “The people have voted! Elsa Majimbo is our #AfricanSocialStar of 2020! LET’S CELEBRATE!”
Elsa who is still a very normal teenager is making it big and has no apologies about it.
For now, we can only sit back and watch how her career will unravel. She is a go-getter who isn’t resting anytime soon. We wish her all the best in her career endeavors. Go, go, girl!
