Kenya is no doubt one of the countries that has got some of the best actors on the continent and some of them have even found fame across the borders and gone international.

1. Lupita N’yongo
Lupita Nyong’o is an Oscar award-winning actress, model, humanitarian, speaker and a firm believer of helping disadvantaged societies throughout everything she does. The actress has shown her dominance throughout the world by dominating worldwide media with her different monthly accolades.
At the age of 14, Nyong’o made her professional acting debut as Juliet in Romeo and Juliet in a production by the Nairobi-based repertory company Phoenix Players.

2. Edi Gathegi
Edi Gathegi continues to work on his craft as one of the leading Kenyan-American actors. Edi started his career after he scored a role in 2006 on the movie Crank and he’s appeared in a number of roles after that.
Edi Gathegi is estimated to be worth $3 million through all his contributions in the television industry and working one of the most well-known actors globally.
3. Naomi Kamau
She has also acted in shows like Makutano Junction and Heart and Soul and features on ‘Samba shape up’ television show on Citizen TV.
The actress and scriptwriter is one of the highest-paid actors in Kenya, believed to be making Ksh120,000 per show.
4. Brenda Wairimu
Brenda made her debut in television late 2009 when she starred as Shareefah in Changing Times together with the ensemble cast of Nice Githinji and Ian Mugoya. Following her debut which made producers start noticing her, in 2011, Brenda became the lead actress for a Kenyan soap opera, Mali.
Brenda is estimated to be worth $2 million. As a businesswoman, she has ensured to get her finances in check through hard work with brands, acting, modelling and working towards being a world-class producer.
5. John Sibi-Okumu
Considered to be one of the pioneers in Kenya’s film industry, Sibi-Okumu started acting in 1968 when he was still in high school. He’s starred in movies like Born Free(1975), We are the children (1987) and Metamo (1997).
He also hosted Zain African challenge where he was said to be earning around 2 million per season.
Furthermore, it is said that he has to paid 200,000 to appear in any television show.
