Bridget Shighadi, new player in the Kenyan designer handbag space

For years, Mercy Kyallo has dominated the Kenyan designer handbag space but there is a new player in the game.

Her name, Bridget Shighadi or Sophia as some of you may know her because of her role in the hit Maria TV show.

For those who don’t know, Shighadi has a fashion design degree and owned Yedu, a fashion house. The mum of one has once again put her fashion design degree to good use. This is with the launch of some beautiful tote bags in collaboration with iLonito Leather Designs and we are loving them.

The bags will go for Shs12,500. Announcing the great news, Miss Shighadi wrote, “If you know me, you know I love fashion and I’m so excited to finally share my collaboration with @ilonito_leather_designs

Together we set out to create a bag that’s functional, trendy, elegant yet simple.
Perfect for a queen working towards securing her bag.

What’s even exciting is it’s made in Kenya and it’s pure genuine leather meaning it will last you a lifetime 💃🏻.The bag comes in four different colors and they’re all available @ilonito_leather_designs.”

iLonito also showed excitement with this launch described as a true labor of love.
“So so happy and blessed to introduce our new #ilonitoxbridgetshigadi executive handbag. A true labor of love.

Perfect for the office and out of the office. With enough space to comfortably carry all your things,” read iLonito’s post.
