A multi-agency team comprising Red Cross and the National Youth Service (NYS) personnel has rescued one stonemason who had been trapped by the debris of a collapsed building in Kisumu.
The mason was part of 6 others who had been working on the construction of a ill-fated building in Kisumu.
All the workers but 2 had been rescued from the collapsed building by the morning of Wednesday, September 30.
He says the 6 were sleeping on the ground floor of the building when the incident occurred at around 10pm Tuesday night.
They later joined the rescue efforts.
One person is still unaccounted for.
