Kenya has recorded 136 more Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours as the country’s total caseload rises to 35,020.
A statement signed by Health CS Mutahi Kagwe indicated that 3,707 samples had been tested in the same period, bringing the number of samples tested so far to 471, 384.
Of the total positive cases, 124 are Kenyans while 12 are foreigners.
In terms of gender, 85 are male and 51 female while the youngest is an eight-month-old infant and the oldest is 75.
Others are; Baringo 2, Kakamega 2, while Elgeyo Marakwet, Tharaka Nithi, Kiambu, Kitui and Trans Nzoia have a case each.
At the same time, 99 patients have been discharged bringing the total number of those who have recovered to 21,158.
Of the 99, 64 were from the home-based care program while 35 were from various hospitals.
Unfortunately, 5 patients succumbed to the virus, bringing the total number of fatalities to 594.
The Ministry of Health has consistently urged Kenyans to wash hands regularly, wear a mask and practice social distancing, to curb the spread of the virus.

New CCTV footage has emerged with evidence further implicating Robert Ouko in the murder case of businessman Kelvin Omwenga in Kilimani Nairobi.
The CCTV was recorded at Chris Obure’s office located along Galana Road, Nairobi. Obure was roped into the murder after Ouko used his pistol to reportedly kill Omwenga.
The footage captured Ouko at Obure’s office on the same day Omwenga died, Saturday, August 22. Obure’s bodyguard entered the office at 6:26 am and headed for the keys to open the safe where the Ceska pistol was stored. Learn more……………………
