Davido has ended his social media absence and has returned to his own social media accounts. The DMW boss was considered to have officially returned when he went on a joint Instagram Live chat with music account Grammy Museum to chat about his long-standing career and influence in the industry.
Three months ago, Davido ditched his account and announced he was ‘changing his number’, amid reports he had reportedly cheated on fiance and baby mama Chioma, taking some much needed time away from the spotlight.
But with that all behind him, Davido has made a grand return with an epic interview about being one of Naija’s most prolific artists.
The star was a guest on the channel’s Mentorship Monday feature series in partnership with GRAMMY U and former first lady Michelle Obama’s Reach Higher initiative, which aims to equip aspiring musicians with skills to make their career success.
“I haven’t been on the Internet on three months,” he told the host Schyler O’Neal
During the interview, Davido spoke about his musical influences, his rise to fame and bring Afrobeats to a world stage.
Meanwhile Davido has been spotted hanging out with some of the biggest stars in the US entertainment business in recent weeks, including Nas, Chris Brown and Young Thug.
He’s also set to release his new album A Better Time any day now, whilst his collab with fellow singer and friend Tiwa Savage – who just released album Celia – has been blowing up the charts.
Welcome back Davido!
