Fashion Police Called out on NTV Presenter For Dressing ‘Like A Homeless’ Person On Live TV

NTV Jamdown presenter Stella Katiwa was recently reduced into a punching bag by Kenyans on social media after rocking rugged pants and a T-shirt while hosting the show.

Katiwa was mocked for her dress code, with many insisting the look wasn’t ideal for TV. NTV posted her photos on their social media pages attracting close to 2000 comments, most of them crucifying her for style.

Well, to be honest, Katiwa, who is also a radio presenter at HBR radio, has always been stylish. As for last Friday, she wanted something out of the box, Something that will bring out the reggae vibe in her show without revealing any skin.

Her fans, however, totally hated it.

Stella Katiwa“Why do you put on torn clothes na uko na pesa. Looks like mad woman in the market.” Said Nyinga Ngeny.

“Toa duster bana. Imebaki uvae curtains na mopper.” Said Mbala Maganga in the comment section.

“The good thing na fashion ya these days is that, panya yaweza kula nguo au nguo izeeke then uirarue & still blame it on fashion. One is able kuficha shida in the name of fashion. Lakini kusema tu kweli that’s not fashion, hio trouser ilitafunwa na panya.” Added Odhiambo Isabella.

Fans went on and on, begging her never to pull that combination again while on TV.

Stella KatiwaAn unfazed Katiwa, however, took to social media to reveal that online bullying wouldn’t discourage her from focusing on her goals and pushing her brand to the limit.

“I am a strong woman. I don’t sit around feeling sorry for myself, nor let people mistreat me,” she posted later after the show.

“I don’t respond to people who dictate to me or try to bring me down. If I fall I will rise up even stronger because I am a survivor and not a victim. I am in control of my life and there is nothing I can’t achieve.”
